Colonization Discourse Japans Korea Power

Japan's Colonization of Korea - The legacy of a colony and its influencing country can change the course of millions of lives across the globe forever. Such a case occurred in the instance of Japan’s hostile takeover of the Korean peninsula, where both Korea’s original government and culture were radically changed into a lifestyle completely different than anyone had ever seen.

Politics of South Korea - Politics of South Korea takes place in a framework of a presidential representative democratic republic, whereby the President is the head of government, and of a pluriform multi-party system. Executive power is exercised by the government. Legislative power is vested in both the government and the National Assembly. The Judiciary is independent of the executive and the legislature and comprises a Supreme Court, appellate courts, and a Constitutional Court.

Coat of Arms of North Korea - The National Emblem of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea bears the design of a hydroelectric power plant under Mount Paektu and bearing the beaming light of a five-pointed red star, with ears of rice forming an oval frame, bound with a red ribbon bearing the inscription "The Democratic People's Republic of Korea" in Hangul characters.

Sixth Republic of South Korea - The Sixth Republic of South Korea is the country's present-day government. It began in 1987, with the transfer of power from the authoritarian Fifth Republic of Chun Doo-hwan.
